Shimulia Union of Savar Upzila has been around by Kaliakair Upazila, Gazipur City Corporation and Dhamrai Upazila. Around Shimulia Union - Gazipur city corporation is on the east side, Kaliakoir upazila is on the north side, Dhamsana union is on the south side, And border of Dhamrai upazila is on the west side.

It is basically a union consisting of agricultural and clothing industries. About 40 percent of the people of the union are involved in agricultural activities, 40 percent of the garment industry, and the remaining 20 percent are associated with pottery, cottage, and various occupations.
